National Hispana Leadership Institute in Collaboration with The American Express Foundation is Celebrating the Graduation of 2011-2012 Class for the Advancing Latinas Leaders in Nonprofit Program

 Washington, DCThe National Hispana Leadership Institute in collaboration with The American Express Foundation is celebrating the graduation of their 22 high-performing graduates of the 2011-2012, Advancing Latina Leaders in Nonprofit (ALL IN) class.

 

The graduation ceremony will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6:00pm, at the Hyatt in Arlington, VA. The Keynote address will be given by Esther Aguilera, CEO and President of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

 

Barbara J. DesMarteau, Acting President, stated “I am so honored to take part of the second graduating class of the ALL IN program,” She added, “with the support of The American Express Foundation— this program has fostered the advancement of Latina leaders in the nonprofit sector and has enabled the growth and development of these 22 exceptional women.”

 

The ALL IN program was launched in 2010 and consists of four distinct components. These include a five-day leadership training in conjunction with NHLI’s Executive Leadership Training Conference, convening over 600 graduates across all sectors; an exclusive online webinar training, a five-day intensive session in Washington, D.C., including a certificate from Georgetown University’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership; a mentoring component, and a capstone project to be implemented in the fellow’s employing nonprofit organization.
