WASHINGTON, DC (CapitalWirePR) February 8, 2008 -- The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GWHCC) today announced a new partnership with Jackson Hewitt, a national leader in tax preparation, to help increase workforce opportunities for the Hispanic community in Greater Washington, D.C. Through its new program Partnerships for Success, Jackson Hewitt will work with GWHCC to offer a variety of free training and educational classes in tax preparation and other tax related services for local Hispanics.
"GWHCC's mission is to expand economic opportunities for the Hispanic population in the Washington Metropolitan region, and Jackson Hewitt's new initiative offers an innovative training opportunity to help Hispanics gain valuable knowledge in taxes and explore potential employment with Jackson Hewitt," said Ana R. Harvey, president of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
To learn more about Jackson Hewitt's Partnerships for Success tax preparation program, the local Hispanic community is encouraged to attend a launch event where Jackson Hewitt will present the various workforce opportunities and introduce local franchisees.
