Richmond, VA - Each year the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) is honored to have Virginia’s community, local businesses and corporate leaders join them as partners and supporters of the annual ¿Qué Pasa? Festival. This is an event to jump-start the summer season celebrating Virginia as an international melting pot, ¿Qué Pasa? Festival showcases the culture and beauty of the many Latin American countries represented in Virginia’s community. This year will mark the second appearance of ¿Qué Pasa? Festival on Richmond’s Historic Canal Walk.
A dynamic mixture of sights, sounds, and tastes the ¿Qué Pasa? Festival invites each participant to fully engage in this unique opportunity for direct access into Virginia’s Hispanic demographic. Richmond’s small businesses, fortune 1000 companies, and local vendors will have a chance to collaborate with the VAHCC to promote themselves as an international partner in our global economy.
Last year, close to 10,000 residents and tourists enjoyed this wonderful event celebrating a culture that honors family, invites participation, and loves food.
Not only will May 4th showcase the Hispanic cultures and communities of Virginia, but the VAHCC will be partnering with the Asian American Society of Central Virginia (AASoCV) and their Asian American Celebration held at the Richmond Convention Center. Trolleys will transport attendees between each location providing access for all to a day of global proportions.
The VAHCC is proud to advocate for Richmond, the state of Virginia and global opportunities, in hopes that through the ¿Qué Pasa? Festival our great city will be recognized for the international and economic hub we have come to know.
This sense of collaboration can be seen throughout the entire weekend, starting on May 3rd with the Global Network Expo: Connecting Virginia to Asian and Latino Cultures & Business. A partnership between the VLAB (Virginia Latino Advisory Board), VAAB (Virginia Asian Advisory Board) and (DBME) the Department of Minority Business Enterprise.
