Washington, DC - This Hispanic Heritage Month, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) celebrates its signature Leadership Conference and 41st Annual Awards Gala honoring Latino community trailblazers and celebrating Latino contributions to this great country.

This year’s Gala will feature a special performance by award-winning artist, Rubén Blades as the entertainment finale.

In addition, CHCI will proudly honor Jorge Ramos and Michele Bobadilla as CHCI’s Medallion of Excellence recipients, celebrating their outstanding leadership and contributions within the Latino community and American society as a whole.

“It is a true honor to participate in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala celebrating Latino achievement and progress,” said Rubén Blades. “I am excited to perform and look forward to a night of celebrating the vast legacies of some of our most prominent Latino leaders.”

Rubén Blades is a musical legend, community leader, and true artist,” said Congressman Joaquín Castro, Chairman, CHCI. “We are honored to share his talents on this special night as we celebrate our community’s brightest stars.”

There are still many ways to support and be a part of the mission. We invite you to join and register for the 2018 Leadership Conference today!
