"As a Latina who founded a business in a male dominated field over 30 years ago I am deeply honored to receive this award. It is an amazing recognition of my efforts to set an example for other women of color. When I first started in this business there were scarcely any women working in construction. That has changed and I feel like I was part of bringing women along," stated Cordova. "It is extremely important to support programs such as the LATINA Style Business Series focusing on highlighting Latina Entrepreneurs so that other women can imagine success in their own endeavors such as entrepreneurship. When you see another Latina start a business from almost nothing and find success it translates into "I can do that too."
The award-winning program for Latina entrepreneurs marks its 139th stop, with over 39,000 Latina business-owners graduating from this initiative. To attend the Albuquerque Business Series conference register online here- Limited spots are available.
