TLC Enthusiastically Supports Alexander Acosta as the Right Choice for U.S. Labor Secretary and a Champion for American Workers

WASHINGTON, DCThe Latino Coalition (TLC), the leading national non-partisan advocacy organization representing Hispanic businesses and consumers, issued the following statement regarding President Trump's nomination of Alexander Acosta as U.S. Department of Labor Secretary:

"The Latino Coalition applauds President Trump for his nomination of Alexander Acosta as U.S. Labor Secretary," said Hector Barreto, The Latino Coalition Chairman and former U.S. Small Business Administrator.  "Acosta is the right choice for this important Cabinet position.  His leadership skills are stellar and he will work to protect and champion the rights of American workers.  If confirmed, Acosta will be the first Hispanic member of Trump's Cabinet, reflecting the Administration's desire to attract the best and brightest.  Therefore, we enthusiastically urge the Senate to confirm Alexander Acosta as Labor Secretary, in order to get more Americans working."
