The National LATINA Symposium opens with a ceremonial breakfast, followed by a series of workshops that will allow participants to learn about issues such as: advancement in the workplace, successful leadership, global public service, applying military skills to everyday life and business, and professional development. The purpose of the symposium is to ascertain, through round-table discussions, as well as in-depth surveys, the status of the Latina professional working woman in the United States.

The highlight of the event is the Distinguished Military Service Award Luncheon, co-hosted with the Department of Defense. LATINA Style is proud to present the only national awards program honoring Latina military and civilian personnel who through their service have enhanced the role of Latinas in their organizations.
