New York, NY — The Latino Commission on AIDS mourns the passing of Larry Kramer, an AIDS warrior, hero, pioneer, author, screenplay writer and HIV and LGBTQ rights activist. He was a founder of the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) and founder of ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) to influence public action to fight the AIDS crisis. He changed public health policy and the perception of people living with HIV, raising awareness of HIV and AIDS related diseases. 

 Larry Kramer, one of the leaders in AIDS activism, known to many for being outspoken and calling out on any injustices around HIV and AIDS, leaves a legacy to follow by many advocates throughout the world.
