The Adelante Movement & the U.S. Small Business Administration Join Forces to Empower Latina Women

Washington, DC – Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet, the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and member of President Obama's Cabinet and Nely Galán, Founder of The Adelante Movement and best-selling author of SELF MADE, will join to sign a first-ever agreement to help start, maintain, strengthen, and expand Latina-owned small businesses. This partnership will focus on bringing together the women of The Adelante Movement and a government agency that share the same mission: bringing attention to the role that Latina women play in the emerging economy of this country by providing information, support, training and resources needed for aspiring Latina entrepreneurs to become successful businesswomen.
