Washington, D.C.  - The National Hispana Leadership Institute is honored to celebrate the graduation of their 21 outstanding fellows from the 2014 Latinas Learning to Lead class.

The graduation ceremony was held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 12:30pm, in the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. The keynote address was given by Lorena Villa, State Farm sales leader.

NHLI’s annual Latinas Learning to Lead Program, LLL, promotes and fosters the development of young college-age Latina leaders through training, mentoring opportunities, access to national networks and tools to create a community impact through their leadership projects. This year’s fellows come from 19 states and represent a variety of fields of study.

The 2014 LLL class had the opportunity to meet with several high-level officials in federal offices such as the State Department and Department of Education. They also fine-tuned their resume and communication skills.

"I am inspired by the passion and accomplishments of the 2014 LLL graduating class, as they represent the dynamic caliber of Latinas that will lead our country in the future,” said Ann Marquez, “As a fellow Latina leader, these women keep my drive strong to continue moving NHLI forward by helping young Latinas realize their dreams and aspirations."
