Washington, DC - Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has ordered a city wide curfew starting at 11pm tonight, Sunday, through 6am on Monday morning. In addition she has activated the DC National Guard to assist the Metropolitan Police Department in maintaining peaceful order and assist the police.

According to Alejandro Alvarez of WTOP, the day long peaceful protests at Lafayette Park in front of the White House turned violent a short time ago. Police there have unleashed a volley of flashbangs and pepperballs.

Peace has now returned. DC Council Candidate Franklin Garcia is broadcasting live showing thousands of protestors peacefully calling on President Trump to step down.
