State Farm® announced a $5,000 grant to the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation for its signature program, Empowering Latinos: One “Click” at a Time, during the Latino Providers’ Network’s monthly gathering today in Baltimore.

The grant positions participants for stronger employment opportunities so they can better support their families and help their children academically. The seven-week program provides Latino parents with computer literacy skills, laptops for their homes and access to financial resources.

“The Latino Providers Network (LPN) brings together businesses from across the Baltimore region to share best practices and discuss how we can support our community,” said State Farm Agent and LPN Board President David Rosario. 

State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship Grants provide financial assistance to organizations that focus on safety, community development and/or education.

In observance of National Financial Literacy Month, the program culminates on April 18 with a free, community event focused on personal finance: Mi Dinero, Mi Destino. The event will be held at the Southeast Anchor branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library (3601 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224) as joint collaboration with Safe and Healthy Housing.

The program is also supported by the Consular Section of the Mexican Embassy and the Open Society Institute Baltimore.
