Comic Strip creator Lalo Alcaraz explores the Power of Art online this Wednesday

Washington, DC - In celebration of the American Latino Museum annual Design Contest, AARP and Target are presenting an online conversation with Lalo Alcaraz on Wednesday, April 15th at 3pm EST. This award wining artist is the creator of ‘La Cucaracha’, the first nationally syndicated Latino comic strip.

Estuardo Rodriguez will host Lalo Alcaraz in a dialogue about the power of art and how it frames the narrative of our American community. In addition, Lalo will create an original piece live during the broadcast. Everyone is encouraged to practice art skills and submit your creation for the museum’s annual Design Contest by April 24th. The winner will receive a $500 prize and be featured in the American Latino Museum’s campaign for the coming year.
