Montgomery County Executive Hispanic Gala Announces 78 Awarded Scholar Recipients for the 2016 Maryland Hispanic Achievement Scholarship Program

Rockville, MD - The Montgomery County Executive Hispanic Gala (MCEHG) has selected seventy-eight outstanding scholars to be the scholarship recipients during the 2016 Annual Montgomery County Executive Hispanic Gala to take place at The Fillmore Silver Spring on Thursday, September 22, 2016, 7pm-11pm.

“Last year the scholarship opportunity opened to all qualifying students from our communities throughout the State of Maryland and the 2016 class of scholars represents the immense diversity in our county,” said Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett. 

Selected awardees attend these fourteen colleges and universities throughout the State of Maryland: Anne Arundel Community College, Community College of Baltimore County, Frostburg State University, Howard Community College, Montgomery College, Prince Georges Community College, Salisbury University, Stevenson University, The Universities at Shady Grove, Towson University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, and University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Washington Adventist University.
