Austin, TX - Hitting the newsstands this week is the latest  issue of LATINO Magazine, which includes its annual listing of the companies providing the most opportunities for Latinos. The 2016 LATINO 100 was selected from nominations submitted by Latino nonprofits and community organizations, as well as the magazine's audience of opinion leaders, influencers, corporate executives and government officials.

"We're often asked how we choose the LATINO 100 companies," said LATINO editor Alfredo Estrada. "Outreach is a key factor. If companies make no effort to engage with Latinos, they don't make the cut."

Among those included are GM, BP, and Lockheed Martin, recognized for their STEM programs. Among the companies cited in areas such as education, diversity, and minority business development are Hilton, Intel, Hyundai, United, AT&T, Comcast NBC Universal, ExxonMobil, Herbalife, Nissan, Cisco, Microsoft, and Sodexo. The entire listing can be seen online at http://www.latinomagazine.com. See also LATINO Magazine on Facebook, @latinomagazine on Twitter and #latino100.

The 2016 LATINO 100 companies will be recognized for their contributions at a reception to be held at 5:30-7:30 PM at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC on Tuesday, June 7. To RSVP, please contact Dalia Almanza at dalialatinomag@aol.com.

The cover story features interviews with Reps. Linda Sanchez, Tony Cardenas, and Ben Ray Lujan. Other timely articles include "Obama's Legacy," analyzing how the president will be remembered by Latinos; "On the Front Lines," about the lack of Latino voices on Sunday morning political shows; and "Hamilton," the hit Broadway show by Lin-Manuel Miranda. These and other stories can be read online at http://www.latinomagazine.com.

This issue also marks the ground-breaking launch of The Hill Latino, a partnership between The Hill and LATINO Magazine to present a Latino perspective on politics and policy. Check it out at http://thehill.com/latino.
