Washington, DC - Washington English Center (WEC) will join the #GivingTuesday movement with its partner, the Catalogue for Philanthropy Greater Washington. The partnership will drive the social media campaign and encourage supporters to give back on Tuesday, November 27th.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to give back to causes they support.

WEC will also hold a #GivingTuesdayTacos happy hour at El Tamarindo Restaurant, a neighborhood favorite, from 5 to 7 PM that day. The social gathering will give WEC the opportunity to thank supporters, make new friends, and create more buzz.

Follow us on social media, share our #GivingTuesday posts, join us at El Tamarindo, and help us get to our $15,000 goal for the day!
