Washington, DC - Trenches cut, plumbing reworked and the Ballston area’s popular Protein Bar at 800 N. Glebe Road in Arlington is open again for business. A plumbing issue that shut down the restaurant was quickly resolved with fast responses by Alpha 1 Plumbing and VERCO’s All American Concrete Cuts in an expedited weekend turn around.
“We appreciated VERCO’s flexibility and fast work to get our store reopened,” said Ray Duke, a Protein Bar representative. VERCO’s All American Concrete Cutting operations offers core drilling; concrete cuts with hydraulic, electric and gas powered saws; removal from site and disposal, as well as pour back. These concrete cutting capabilities compliment demolition operations in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area.
The Protein Bar is a new concept in healthy, organic casual food that has developed a following in Chicago and now in the Washington, DC region. The restaurant serves high-protein blended drinks, soups, salads, bowls, and its signature quinoa-packed "bar-ritos." According to City Paper, Newt Gingrich has even tweeted his approval. For the scores of patrons disappointed with the closure over the past few days. The store is scheduled to reopen Monday.
The Ballston location in northern Virginia joins the Washington, DC shop at 398 7th St. NW currently serving the popular Penn Quarter.
