Washington, DC Father and son decide to disconnect themselves from the cyber technological world and wireless communications to share more time together, look into their eyes and converse.

Aware of the importance to break the barriers that come between family dialogue in this modern world, 9 year-old Charlie and his father, Alan Cornfield, have launched the campaign called “No Cell phones, No Electronics Day”, and call upon all families to commit to spending day free of cell phones and electrical appliances this Sunday, April 29th.

The campaign has as an objective to rescue the importance to dedicate quality time between parents and children. Stop being absorbed by electrical devices, constructing different worlds in the same home: The adult immersed in a cell phone or computer, and therefore, the child immersed in video games, electronic games, I Pods, tablets and other accessories.

No Cell Phones, No Electronics Day is a campaign that has begun in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and will be extended each year with the support of the community.

Ms. Roni Silverstein, principal of Falls Meade Elementary School, who promotes leadership among the students, with Charlie’s teacher, Miss A. Kim, have joined the campaign which has custom-printed t shirts, posters and stickers.

As part of the campaign, the superintendent of public schools in Montgomery County, Joshua Starr, received the campaign material from Charlie Cornfield, which consists of custom-printed t shirts, campaign flyers and informative material.
