The Greater Washington area has come together and formed a steering committee to celebrate the life and many contributions of former Congressman Walter E. Fauntroy. The committee was convened by the International Graduate University, through the office of its President , Walter E. Boek); and, led by Steering Committee Chairman Ronald Jewell and a host of clergy and other business associates.
On January 30, the Democracy Hall of Fame will host a launch press conference to announce this momentous occasion. IGU President Walter E. Boek will be joined by Steering Committee Chairman Ronald Jewell, Reverend Morris Shearin, Mr. Julian Bond, Reverend Anthony Motely and other supporters of this civil rights and human rights legend.
