The Miami International Film Festival has presented films from more than 50 countries, including 250 East Coast, US, and world premieres, scores of Oscar winners and nominees, and many international prize winners.
The Festival has hosted a diverse group of films throughout the years from emerging, contemporary and renowned filmmakers including Keith A. Beauchamp, Rebecca Miller, Alfonso Cuaron, Pedro Almodovar, Hector Babenco, Jonathan Demme, Spike Lee, Luc Besson, Margarethe von Trotta, Agustín Díaz Yanes, Peter Bogdanovich, Liv Ullman, Andy Garcia, Stanley Nelson and Wim Wenders. Distributors participating in the Festival have included Sony Pictures Classics, HBO, Fox Searchlight, ThinkFilm, Latido Films, Miramax, Venevision, Maverick, Plural, Focus Features and others.

Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival

The International Documentary Film Festival “Punto de Vista” is an annual event featuring the latest trends in the field of documentary films. Since the Festival’s first edition, staged in 2005, it has been inspired by Jean Vigo’s film and ethical principles. Organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Government of Navarra, the festival is hosted in the city of Pamplona, Spain every year in February. The next festival will take place from the 5th to the 13th of February, 2010.
